About Me

 The problem with specialists is that they only know their own specialties. They do not get the whole picture. I see the whole child! 

 I have been tutoring, consulting, and providing learning assessments successfully for more than two decades. I have been a member of the International Dyslexia Association, hold an M.F.A. degree from Rutgers University, and studied education at Hunter College and NYU. 

 I have been working with children, teens, and young adults who have learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and other special needs with great results. The insights provided are partially due to the fact that I am Dyslexic myself. Sometimes it takes someone who actually has had learning issues and went on to do well to be able to successfully help your child achieve better school results and reach their goals. 

My programs are individually designed for what works best for the particular needs of each student. I have consistently been able to help the children I have tutored and have also helped their parents in dealing with the school systems. In the past, I have won many cases involving advocacy, mediation, or arbitration.

My book, Recovering Autism, ADHD, and Special Needs is a compilation of knowledge and solutions garnered from years of experience working with children on a one to one basis. The book has received two awards, an Irwin Award from the Book Publicists of Southern California (Best Humanitarian Campaign - State of California) and a Global Health & Pharma - Best Special Needs Advisory Guide - Australian Health Care & Hospitals Award (AHHA) and European Health Management Association (EHMA) Social Care Award.
